For owners of Condominiums. Provides coverage for your contents and parts of the dwelling you are required to insure as per your Condo Corporations bylaws for loss or damage caused by an insured peril. Also, provides Liability coverage in the event of a law suit against you for damage or injury resulting from your negligence.
Must own the condominium unit and the property in the unit that is to be insured.
Coverage is not required by law, however, the condo corporation will make it mandatory that the unit owners purchase insurance and provide proof of coverage.
Provides coverage for your contents, improvements and betterments you have made to your unit, your share of any special assessment valid under the Condo Corporations rules and damage to the condominium unit if the Condo Corporation has no insurance or inadequate insurance, subject to policy limits. Provides Liability coverage in the event someone sues you for damage or injuries they sustain due to your negligence. Also, provides coverage for additional living expenses incurred by you if you have to move out due to your unit being unfit for occupancy.
Premiums are based on the limit you require for your contents, improvements and betterments you have made, the type of package you wish to purchase, the location and age of your unit, fire protection available and your previous insurance history.
