Farm Umbrella

Provides excess liability coverage over the farm, farm vehicles and personal watercraft. It also provides coverage for additional perils which may not be included in regular farm liability.

Qualifications
Offered as an extension of an existing farm policy.

Required by law
Not required by law, but may be required to satisfy mortgagee/ lender requirements or contractual obligations.

Things that can be covered
Coverage such as libel, slander, false arrest, defamation of character, invasion of rights of privacy, liability assumed under some contracts and liability occurred as the result of volunteer work in a non-profit organization.

Premiums based on
Total acreage, number of farm vehicles, number of recreational vehicles, existence of pollution liability protection, limit of coverage requested.
